Meet Joel

Joel Janulewicz

Joel began his wine & spirits industry career in 1993 with Heublein. He held various sales, category management, and trade marketing roles with the company through many mergers and acquisitions, eventually leaving what became known as DIAGEO in 2006. He then joined Beam Global where he gained valuable Strategic Account management experience. After three years with Beam Global, Joel joined Fosters/Treasury Wine Estates in 2009 where he held roles such as Vice President, Strategic Accounts and Vice President of Sales, West. After a health scare in 2012, which sidelined Joel for about a year, he returned to Treasury and was offered a role in Supply. The role focused on optimizing value through insights, planning, and operational alignment with Sales. The time was invaluable as he gained a deeper understanding of the wine industry supply chain and its’ effect on the commercial side of the business.

Joel started his consulting career in 2016 with a wine start-up client based in Healdsburg. The experience was illuminating as he learned first-hand the importance of cash flow and the pressures of competing with much larger companies. He then moved on to an exclusive engagement with Huneeus Vintners where he consulted on Sales Operations & Development which included acquisition integration, AOP development, sales strategy & process, pricing, compliance, export markets, trade marketing, and program M&E.

Joel holds an MBA from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA and makes his home in Healdsburg.
